All throughout September the Shiny Sphere Search offers an adventurous way to find – and keep - one-of-a-kind works of art hidden in Golden.
Starting daily on September 1st, one gorgeous blown glass orb will be hidden somewhere in the city, with two glass orbs hidden on Saturdays and Sundays. Placement will happen at random times each day. Clues will be posted at @shinyspheresearch on Instagram with updates and follow-up clues as needed. Make sure you follow @shinyspheresearch so you can keep up with the latest updates.
About The Shiny Sphere Search
A small group of Golden volunteers runs the Shiny Sphere Search as a way to promote community and share their love of art and adventure. They had so much fun in the original Shiny Orb Hunt previously run by Foothills Art Center (FAC), that five years ago, when FAC decided not to renew the event, these Golden citizens stepped forward.
This year the orbs have been hand-crafted by The Furnace: a glassworks located on West Colfax. Half of the costs for this year's orbs are paid for by a grant from Golden Thriving Communities and the other half is covered by the main volunteer organizer. Orbs can be found on public land anywhere within Golden city limits.

Glass orbs will not be hidden on private property, a driving range, in the creek, the middle of an established trail, or other places that would be unsafe for hunters.
If you find an orb, do your best to immediately post a video selfie and tag @shinyspheresearch.
Happy hunting!
