However, after the capital moved to Denver, Astor House evolved into the community’s place for boarding and gathering for the next 150 years. Explore the history of Astor House as a place for séances, philanthropy, and the promotion of a diverse and vibrant Golden. Presented by Nathan Richie, Director at Golden History Museum & Park. Location and Pricing: Golden Community Center-Beaver Brook Room, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Members free; $10 non-members. Registration is required - program will be canceled if minimum attendance number is not reached 24 hours prior to start time. Membership pays for itself with just a few programs for your family.
