Downtown Golden, Colorado, will become the center of the Mopar® universe July 18, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. as the 18th annual Mopar Big Block Party comes to town. Mopar enthusiasts from around the world will converge on the Centennial State for a full weekend of racing fun as the Dodge Mile-High Nationals Presented by Pennzoil revs up nearby in Morrison, Colorado, at Bandimere Speedway.

Washington Avenue, right in the heart of downtown Golden, between 11th and 14th Streets, is the place to be. Renowned gearhead, Speed TV personality and Denver DJ Willie B. will be your MC for the evening, and he’ll get things popping from the main stage, located on the southwest corner of Washington & 13th Street. Make sure to wear your dancing shoes, though: Willie B. won’t be on the mic the whole night — the Steve Thomas Band will take the stage to play some tunes. The Steve Thomas Band specializes in ’80s covers but dabbles in a little bit of everything, and they make sure that you have fun while they do it!

Besides the stage happenings and autograph session, fans can check out the many cool displays that will be there … all of which are FREE! Take a virtual ride down the dragstrip in the Dodge Demon race simulators. Check out Matt Hagan’s and Fast Jack Beckman’s Funny Cars and take a spin in the virtual simulators in the Pennzoil® display. For those that want to check out some classic Mopars, there will be plenty to see on 12thStreet. If you have more interest in the newest FCA vehicles, the all-new Jeep® Gladiator and Ram 1500 will be on display in the Larry H. Miller Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram area. Larry H. Miller is the only place you can get this year’s commemorative Block Party T-shirt as well as some other cool Mopar gear. And last but not least, be sure to sign up for your chance to win $70,000 toward the purchase of any new FCA vehicle.

There’s no need to worry about being hungry or thirsty while you are there. Food and beer tents will be located throughout the Block Party. And of course, all of Washington Avenue’s restaurants and watering holes will be open and ready for you!
