Golden Hour Mashup
A new evening event series bringing Golden's businesses to life, one Wednesday a month, August through October 2026.
Once a month, businesses across Golden extend their hours for an evening of live music, local makers, and family-friendly fun, giving you even more reasons to shop, dine, explore, and connect with the community.
For businesses and organizations
We're calling this series a Mashup because we want businesses and organizations to team up, get creative, and submit shared applications together. Think a South Golden coffee shop and a downtown cafe hosting a joint beverage tasting, two restaurants pairing a shared menu with live music, or retail shops teaming up with a balloon artist for a family shopping night. The sky's the limit, so dream up whatever fun collaboration works for you and fellow businesses. The goal is to bring Golden residents together and create a festive atmosphere for all generations.
Golden Hour Mashups are a partnership between the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Visit Golden, and local businesses.
Dates and Themes
- August 12 | 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. | Show Us You're Golden
- Show off your Golden spirit in your own way. Whether it's hometown pride, your favorite Golden gear, or a little extra sparkle, have fun and make it your own.
- September 16 | 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. | Where the West Lives
- A western-themed evening filled with local flavor, boots, hats, and small-town charm.
- October 14 | 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. | Ghouls' Night Out
- Put on your favorite costume and enjoy a spooky evening of treats, family-friendly fun, and festive surprises.
Apply for a microgrant
You can apply for a microgrant to host live music, artists, workshops, food and drink specials, catering, or other activations during the three themed evenings. Individual businesses can apply for up to $750, while a Mashup group of up to five businesses can apply for up to $1,000 per business, for a total of up to $5,000 per group.
