Golden will again be hosting the highly anticipated Buffalo Bill Days festival. Celebrating the vibrant spirit and rich history of the Wild West, this annual event is a beloved tradition that captures the essence of Buffalo Bill Cody's legendary legacy. Join us for a thrilling journey back in time as we honor the remarkable adventures and indomitable spirit of one of America's greatest icons. This event dates back to the 1940s as a trail ride up Lookout Mountain to Buffalo Bill's Museum & Grave.

The Buffalo Bill Days Committee has expanded its activities through the years and it is now the largest community festival held in Golden. From exhilarating rodeo shows to captivating live music performances, from delicious local cuisine to an array of family-friendly activities, Buffalo Bill Days offers a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. So saddle up and get ready to immerse yourself in the spirit of the Old West as Golden comes alive with the spirit of Buffalo Bill!

Buffalo Bill Days Festival returns to Golden this weekend! Celebrate the vibrant spirit and rich history of the Wild West, featuring an arts & crafts festival, children’s activities, Saturday’s parade and the Golden Fire Department’s Pancake Breakfast, live music, and much more! For the Golden Fire Department Pancake Breakfast, 10th St. will be closed to eastbound traffic beginning at 6 a.m.

If you can, consider walking, cycling, or taking public transit for the festival. The Ore Cart shuttle will run Friday 12 p.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m.– 7:00 pm (a late start due to Saturday’s parade), and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Marv Kay Stadium Lot (Lot K), at the corner of 11th and Maple Streets, is free for the weekend.

Please note most neighborhood parking is permit-only, so check signs carefully to avoid a fine.

Road Closures

On Saturday, July 29, Washington Avenue will be closed from 9th St. to 14th St. from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Additionally, 9th St. and 10th St. west of Washington will be closed to traffic and parking from 7 a.m. - 12 p.m.

For the Golden Fire Department Pancake Breakfast, 10th St. will be closed to eastbound traffic beginning at 6 a.m.
