FREE HOLIDAY FAMILY FUN
Experience Holiday Movie Magic at the Golden Holiday Parade, Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025. This year’s celebration features the theme Holiday Movie Favorites, bringing classics like It’s a Wonderful Life and fresh favorites like Elf to life along Washington Avenue. Visitors can enjoy creative floats, elves, Victorian carolers, marching bands, antique cars, the Grinch, Buffalo Bill, and Santa. The excitement runs from 10:30 a.m. between 10th and 13th Street.
After the parade, enjoy a meal at local restaurants or browse shops in historic downtown Golden, then take a free carriage ride from 12:00–2:00 p.m. Carriage rides pick up on 12th Street, just west of Washington Avenue by Bella Colibri. This festive holiday tradition is open to everyone.

Bursting with Colorado charm and holiday spirit, Olde Golden's Holiday Parade is on Dec. 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The parade route runs along Washington Avenue from 10th Street to 13th Street through historic downtown.
PARADE DETAILS
Join in the holiday spirit and watch floats, clowns, festive holiday characters, and Santa Claus on the firetruck parade down Washington Avenue. After the parades, head to the downtown area shops and restaurants.
Plan to "Parade" Like a Pro
Where: Begins at 10th St. and continues up Washington Ave. to 13th St.
When: 10:30 a.m., Dec. 13, 2025
Plan early: Get to town early to guarantee parking and a prime viewing spot.
Dress for the weather: Festive attire is welcome.
Don't Go Hungry: Grab a bite to eat from our local restaurants and cafes before the parade.
* Avoid bringing chairs and pets, it gets crowded.
While in town, bring your kids’ letters to Santa to the Golden Welcome Center and keep the holiday fun going. After the parade, spread the day’s joy by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy for The Miracle Shop at Parfet Park between 11 AM and 4 PM.
