Golden, nestled at the base of the magnificent Rocky Mountains, is in close proximity to two great parks: Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, and Golden Gate Canyon State Park. Golden is so close to these Colorado treasures that adding Golden into a vacation to either is super easy!

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

Rocky Mountain National Park’s 415 square miles encompass and protect spectacular mountain environments. The park, founded in 1915, is only 50 miles and 1.5 hours from Golden. There is no lodging inside the park so camping reservations and lodging reservations in Golden are strongly recommended. GOLDEN GATE CANYON STATE PARK

Golden Gate Canyon State Park covers over 12,000 acres of forest, rocky peaks and meadows. Camping and some lodging is available inside the park. Golden Gate Canyon State Park is 15 minutes and about 15 miles from Golden, CO. Click here to check their website for information on some road closures.

    This small, friendly RV park, owned and operated by the City of Golden, is located at 1400 10th Street. It offers a relaxed country-like setting within walking distance of historic downtown Golden. The RV park is open year-round, equipped with 22 full hook-ups, 11 50-amp electric only, 3 tent campsites, large clean restrooms, showers, laundry facilities and a dump station. Clear Creek RV ParkCome for quiet seclusion along the banks of Clear Creek, with easy access to downtown via the Clear Creek Trail. The Clear Creek RV park is located just 20 minutes from downtown Denver, with easy access to Central City and Black Hawk.
  • Dakota Ridge RV Park
    Dakota Ridge RV Park is located in Golden. Situated between the mountains of Summit County and the bustling excitement of Denver, Dakota Ridge RV Resort gives you the perfect balance of city and mountain experiences all year round.

  • Pansy's Parlor Bed and Breakfast
    Pansy's Parlor Bed and Breakfast is located in a 1879 Victorian house in the 12th Street Historic District, one block from the Historic Downtown and two blocks from the Colorado School of Mines. It is Golden’s only Bed & Breakfast listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They offer gracious accommodations and delicious food, at reasonable rates for your overnight stay or special event.
  • Stage Stop Guest Cottages
