Lions Park, Golden
Pack a picnic and head to Lions Park for Golden’s annual Fourth of July celebration, hosted by the Golden Lions Club. The festivities run from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and include live music, food and beverages, and a Junior Jubilee for the kids. It’s a full day of fun designed for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and enjoy the holiday in one of Golden’s most scenic spots.
Fourth of July Festival at Lions Park
Every year, Golden’s Fourth of July Festival takes over Lions Park, just off 10th Street near Clear Creek and the Golden Community Center.
Hosted by the Golden Lions Club, the 2025 edition lands on Friday, July 4, with festivities running from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.—expect a full day of live entertainment, kid-friendly activities, and community fun.
Golden’s 53rd Annual Fourth of July Independence Day Festival offers a fantastic selection of delicious eats and local drinks. Food trucks and beverage stands will be set up throughout the event. Visitors are also encouraged to bring a picnic of their own and enjoy it in the park.
Fourth of July Entertainment
Live music is at the heart of Golden’s 4th of July festivities! Enjoy a full day of entertainment, including a morning of yoga, a patriotic salute, and performances from local and regional acts.
The Junior Jubilee offers hours of fun for kids ages toddler through teen from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Parents can relax nearby under shady trees or join in the fun—there’s plenty of space and picnic tables, so spread out and enjoy the summer day.

11:30 AM – 12:15 PM: Patriotic Salute – Join us for a heartfelt tribute to our nation.

12:15 PM – 2:30 PM: Jeff Goodwin and the Front Range Cowboys – Enjoy a mix of country, bluegrass, and blues to kick off the afternoon.

3:15 PM – 5:30 PM: Thunder Roads: A Springsteen Experience – Experience the magic of classic American rock with a high-energy tribute to The Boss.

6:15 PM – 8:30 PM: Boogie Machine – Close out the day with a fun-filled 70s disco tribute, featuring giant hair, funky outfits, and irresistible dance floor energy
Please note: Golden’s Fourth of July celebration is fireworks-free by design. The event focuses on community, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun in the park—offering a festive atmosphere without loud displays, making it more enjoyable for pets, young children, and anyone sensitive to fireworks.
Parking and Traffic
Planning ahead will make your Fourth of July in Golden smooth and stress-free. There are several free and paid parking options, as well as bike racks and shuttle services to help visitors get to and from Lions Park with ease.
Free parking options include:
- Secure on-site bike racks. Be sure to bring your bike lock!
- Free Shuttle Service - Park conveniently and free of charge at the Jefferson County Health and Human Services building, (900 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, 80401) (MAP) or the Jeffco Government Center RTD W Line Station. You will be dropped off at the Tennis Court at 10th and Illinois. Shuttles run continuously for the duration of the event, 9:30am - 9:00pm.
- Limited parking at the Clear Creek Lot (10th & Archer) and Colorado School of Mines Lot K (11th & Maple).
Paid parking options nearby include:
- Jackson Street North (MAP) and South (MAP) Public Garages.
- Street parking throughout downtown Golden and along the 10th Street corridor (use kiosk or HONK app)
- Mines Garage at McNeil Hall (MAP)
