Our signature events are as diverse and fun as our town is.
In the summer, join us for Buffalo Bill Days in July, when the community gathers together to commemorate the historic trail rides by the Buffalo Bill Saddle Club and share smiles over crafts, rides for the kids, and even a parade through downtown Golden.
The Golden Fine Arts Festival is a beloved thirty-year-old tradition in August that brings together artists, locals, and visitors alike to mingle and discover local art while enjoying live entertainment, food, and outdoor beer gardens.
Gather your family or friends together for live music and movies at Parfet Park in downtown Golden throughout the summer season. All you need to bring is a picnic blanket to lay out on the grass.
Towards the start of the year, in February, Washington Avenue in downtown becomes a sea of golden retrievers during the annual Goldens in Golden event. Whether you have a retriever or love the dog breed and want to join in on the fun, expect photo ops and meet-and-greets with fellow retriever parents. During the event, area restaurants and hotels offer dog-friendly deals.
These and other signature events are part of what make Golden a colorful, lively town all year long.
Holiday Spirit
Every winter, Golden lights up with the holiday spirit, and our annual holiday events lend to the joyful atmosphere in the air. From a festive parade featuring Santa to a holiday art market with plenty of local goods, there's no one way to celebrate the season in Golden.
You can even sing along with the holiday carols and prepare to be dazzled by thousands of glowing candles during Golden’s Candlelight Nights. The holidays seem even more joyous against the historic backdrop of Golden.
