Outdoor Dining
After a day on the trails, fishing along Clear Creek, or wandering between shops Downtown, nothing beats finding a patio table and grabbing a bite outside in Golden.
For excellent outdoor dining, check out one of our many sandwich shops or cozy up with coffee and dessert. If it’s sunny, head to Buffalo Rose for some live music, or fill up on the buffet at Sherpa House to enjoy great views and great company.
Eating out with a larger group is no problem either; Golden has all sorts of group dining options, many with outside seating—breweries, anyone? If you’re up for a picnic, head to the Clear Creek bridge, where you’ll find plenty of outdoor tables and space to linger over simple al fresco bites by the river.
You’ll also find great outdoor dining outside the downtown area. Grab a table at Blue Pan Pizza and scarf down some of their award-winning Detroit-style pizza. Stop by Cast Iron Tavern for comfort food and craft cocktails, or head to Vice Kitchen Wine Whiskey for happy hour on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
If you’re looking for killer views, Nomad Taqueria and Beer Garden, just minutes from the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, serves Southwest-inspired dishes in a private heated igloo or out in the beer garden. And if you are craving authentic Mexican food with mountain views, El Dorado, near downtown and the Coors Brewery Tour, will not disappoint.
