With  our iconic “Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden!” arch spanning Washington Avenue, Golden, Colorado is one of the friendliest towns in the West. It’s also the perfect place to celebrate one of the friendliest dog breeds in the world, Golden RetriGoldens in Golden Firefighterevers. This year, we are doggone excited to announce the return of our beloved Goldens in Golden event happening Saturday, February 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Any time of year, Golden is a perfect destination for dogs – and their humans – to enjoy hiking trails, walking paths, dog-friendly beer gardens, and fun times with friends and family,” said Megan Pinson of Visit Golden. “We invite well-behaved, leashed Golden Retrievers - and their humans - to join us for a fun gathering, walk down Washington Avenue and take a group photo under our Golden Arch."

Gather at Parfet Park at 11 am where you can enjoy complimentary "pup cup" treats, giveaways and vendor booths. Washington Avenue will be closed and at 11:45 a.m. the group will walk to the Arch for a group photo. Official festivities end at 1 p.m. and afterwards, head out around Golden on your own. There will be many dog-friendly offerings, plenty of patios and lots of nearby trails to enjoy!
