Holiday Parade

The Golden Holiday Parade returns on Saturday, December 12, 2026, with a themed twist: Western Winter Wonderland! This year, Washington Avenue gets a frontier makeover as the Old West meets the North Pole. Expect cowboy boots and Santa hats and plenty of western flair. Enjoy a spectacular day with all your favorites, including elves, marching bands, floats, Victorian carolers, antique cars, the Grinch, Buffalo Bill and, of course, Santa. The parade travels along Washington Avenue in historic downtown Golden.

After the parade, visit Parfet Park to donate a toy to The Miracle Shop. Don’t forget to drop off your children’s letters to Santa at the Golden Welcome Center.

Then enjoy a meal at a local restaurant or browse the shops downtown. Check the events page for more festive seasonal happenings around town.
