At the National Laboratory of the Rockies, formerly the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the organization focuses on creative solutions to today’s energy challenges. From breakthroughs in fundamental science to cutting edge clean technologies and integrated energy systems, its researchers are transforming how the nation and the world use energy.

The laboratory operates across three national centers, multiple collaborative research facilities, and 16 research programs, supported by approximately 3,300 employees, postdoctoral researchers, interns, visiting professionals, and subcontractors.
