Since 2019, leashed, friendly, and trained Golden Retrievers and their humans have gathered in downtown Golden, Colorado for a heartwarming celebration of this beloved dog breed. Usually held on the first Saturday in February in honor of National Golden Retriever Day, the gathering features a pawsitiviely friendly atmosphere, adorable attendees and famous photos under the city’s iconic Welcome to Golden arch. Goldens in Golden attracts thousands of Goldens and their humans from across Colorado - and the United States!

Golden’s Washington Avenue will be closed to traffic so leashed Goldens can strut their stuff on Golden’s main street.

Are Only Golden Retrievers Allowed? The event is a celebration of Golden Retrievers although nobody is “checking IDs.” Only leashed, trained, and friendly dogs are allowed.
