Golden City Brewery was founded in 1993 by two geologists, Charlie & Janine Sturdavant. They filled the old machine shop behind their historic Golden home with used dairy tanks and Charlie began brewing German-style ales. The tasting room was originally located in the sunroom of their house and provided Red Ale and Pale Ale to the local community in 1/2 gallon growlers and kegs.
They’ve been serving exceptional beer in Golden for over 30 years, but that’s just the beginning. Due to popular demand, they’ve expanded their offerings to include wines and cider, all crafted on-site by their affiliated winery. You can also enjoy pretzels, würst, burgers, and fries, all freshly made at the Golden City Bites food truck on the premises.
