UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival

January 29–31, 2027

UllrGrass is a three-day bluegrass music and craft beer festival held each January in Parfet Park in downtown Golden, in the Rocky Mountain foothills. The festival is named for Ullr (pronounced “ooler”), the Norse god of winter. Festival-goers dress in Viking regalia to celebrate community, live music, performing arts, and craft beer.

UllrGrass is the brainchild and passion project of Chris and Susannah Thompson, longtime Golden residents who felt the town needed a signature event in the middle of winter to bring the community together.

Festival weekend at a glance

  • Friday and Saturday evenings bring live music under heated big top tents in Parfet Park.
  • On Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m., the Beer Festival offers craft beer and cider from more than 30 Colorado breweries, with live music on two alternating stages.
  • Sunday is Family Day, with the UllrEgg Hunt, craft activities, games, and live music.
  • Food trucks will be on site all weekend.

The 2027 music schedule will be posted in December 2026. Find tickets and updates at ullrgrass.com, or buy tickets for UllrGrass 2027.
