This vibrant café brings Hawaiian “aloha” vibes to the foothills of Colorado and is run with heart by owner Alissa Mattson and her team. She opened the Golden location in July 2019 and built it around the idea of “happy, healthy, bold” living — putting super-nutritious bowls, smoothies and poke front and center.

KONA Bowls’ menu is packed with bright, wholesome bowls, wraps, toasts, and smoothies — acai bowls, vegan Buddha bowls, poke bowls, you name it. Be sure to try the very tasty, house “Kona Kombucha” — with flavors like Honey Lemon Ginger, Strawberry Guava and Spiced Apple Cider. You can even pick up a Kona Kombucha growler to go - it makes for an elevated non-alcoholic beverage option perfect as a hostess gift or to serve at your own holiday gatherings.

Located in the heart of downtown Golden at 1111 Washington Avenue, KONA Bowls is open Sunday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
