Golden Gallop

“Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden, where the west RUNS!”

The Golden Gallop will be on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Golden’s biggest annual race will take place for the 20th year running! We look forward to seeing everyone on our same great course through downtown under the Golden ‘Welcome’ arch, with the start and finish at Golden High School.

Choose from these events:

• 5K
• 10K
• Kids Fun Run
• 20K Challenge – this year only! (only the 10K will be completed and timed on race day)
• Sleep In – For those who can’t make it on race day or just want to sleep in

The Golden Gallop welcome well behaved DOGS to the 5K and 10K! Be sure to register your dog in the “Add On” section if your dog is joining you this year. Registered dogs will receive a Gallop bandana that will be included in your race packet. Note: Dogs can NOT participate in the Kids Fun Run. Runners with dogs and/or strollers must be at the back of the pack of racers at the starting line.
