Native Veterans Museum Lecture

Honor the American Nations’ most respected warriors in this program spotlighting the often highest per-capita rate of volunteer service among Native communities. Presented in partnership with the American Indian Veterans of Colorado and Sister Nations color guard, this talk traces Native military service from the WWI code talkers to today’s veterans of the war on terror and showcases an uplifting look at heroism across generations of the Intertribal Native Community.

Presented by Steven LaPointe (Sicangu Lakota Nation), a Denver-based community advocate dedicated to preserving tradition while mentoring the next generation of Native leaders.
