Olde Golden Candlelight Walk

Join us for one of Golden’s most cherished holiday traditions as the Olde Golden Candlelight Walk returns to kick off the Season of Light. People of all ages are invited to bring a candle and stroll down historic Washington Avenue while singing carols and spreading holiday cheer.
The walk concludes at Parfet Park, where entertainment leads up to the lighting of Parfet Park and the Clear Creek Corridor. The celebration continues with festive activities along Clear Creek and in Golden History Park, including a luminaria walk, blacksmith demonstrations, a bonfire, dancing, and free cocoa provided by the Golden Lions Club at the Welcome Center patio. The Golden History Museum and Golden Public Library will also be open for visitors with special activities.
Starting Point: Top of the hill at 15th Street & Washington Avenue at 6:30 PM
Location: Downtown Golden, culminating at Parfet Park
Featuring:
- Enjoy a 30-minute holiday performance at approximately 6:50 PM in Parfet Park following the Candlelight Walk down Washington Avenue
- Special appearance by Santa to help switch on the lights at approximately 7:20 PM
Enjoy free shuttle service for the Candlelight Walk to make your evening even smoother. Park at The Splash Lot (3151 Illinois St, Golden, CO 80401) and catch a shuttle between 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. The shuttle will drop you off at the top of the hill at 18th and Washington Ave., making it easy to start your walk. When you’re ready to head back, it will pick you up at the bottom of the hill on the north side of 10th Street across from Parfet Park.
