Last year, Golden held a historic gathering of Golden Retrievers for a meet-up on National Golden Retriever Day, February 3rd.  The event set an unofficial world record for the largest gathering of Golden Retrievers and was a doggone great time for all.

Despite the four-legged fun of the 2019 event, there will be no official Golden Gathering on National Golden Retriever Day in 2020.  Instead, we encourage you to visit Golden anytime  – because really, what day isn’t a holiday when you are a Golden Retriever in Golden, Colorado.

Golden prides itself on its friendly Western spirit of hospitality so your well-trained and leashed Golden Retrievers– and ALL dogs! – are always welcome in Golden. Many merchants along Washington Ave. put out water bowls, and Golden has miles of dog-friendly trails, especially our trails along Clear Creek where dogs on leashes are invited to take a drink or a rest their paws in the water. You may also want to visit a Golden dog park and afterward, a dog-friendly Golden beer garden or patio.

We hope to see you and your furry friend in Golden in 2020. Stay tuned as we ponder a possible pooch party for next year and follow us on social media @VisitGoldenCO for the latest news.
